An interior designer asked us to create a uniquely modern console for an exclusive project. Thanks to our experience with metal finishes and knowledge of materials, we developed a solution that exceeded expectations.

The Project

The customer wanted a piece of furniture that was visually impressive. The initial idea was to create a console with flowing, harmonious lines, but which maintained a sense of solidity and durability.

The structure was built on a composite substrate and with a special visible fibreglass coating that added an intriguing decorative effect with its texture.

The Finiture

The main surfaces of the console were clad in brass, a metal chosen for its warmth and ability to reflect light in a soft, enveloping manner; applied in such a way as to maintain the underlying texture of the fibreglass and without weighing down the structure.

The top has been coated in brass and finished with a protective clear coat, which not only enhances the lustre of the metal, but also ensures greater resistance to wear.

The body of the furniture was made using an innovative matt black micro-cement, which gave the console a sophisticated and contemporary look. This material created a fascinating visual contrast with the brass, enhancing the fluid and modern lines of the piece.

The Result

The end result is a console that fully reflects the customer’s requirements. The fibreglass weave lends a unique tactile note to the brass covering, while the matt black body accentuates the material contrast, creating a piece that is both modern and timeless.
